Project Estimator

Position: Construction Estimator – Full Time

Experience: 5 – 10 Years

Job Description: Reports to Preconstruction Director.  They are responsible for oversight of preconstruction estimating, development of bids and estimates and must possess a thorough understanding or real time costing information relative to the commercial construction market.   Their responsibilities include:

– Quantity Take-Offs
– Estimate Development
– Preconstruction Coordination
– Project Fact Finding
– Early Assessment of Means and Methods
– Unit Costing
– Profit/Loss Analysis
– Historical Database Development & Maintenance
– Preconstruction Hand-Offs
– Plan Reading and Scope Assessment
– Subcontractor Coordination

Candidate shall possess strong construction knowledge and plan reading abilities.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good written/oral communication skills, and has a strong work ethic.   Our Estimators set an early tone for our projects.  Requires thorough understanding of construction techniques and application to apply real world input into estimates.  The position requires skill, knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with a multitude of project stakeholders.

Project Engineer

Position: Construction Project Engineer – Full Time

Experience: Bachelors in Construction Management, Architecture or Business Administration

Job Description: Project Engineer(s) report to the Project Manager and are integral part of our onsite construction teams.  Key job functions include review and updating of plans/record documents, subcontractor submittal and communication process management, material procurement, risk management and mitigation, jobsite information distribution, technical problem solving, and good written and oral communication skills.

Project Superintendent

Position: Construction Project Superintendent – Full Time

Experience: 10 – 15 Years

Job Description: Reports to Director of Field Operations.  Our Project Superintendents are key leaders on our project teams.  They are responsible for the day to day field operations that occur on the project.  The Project Superintendent shall take ownership of the project schedule (planning and measuring of trade production), safety oversight and quality control.  Their responsibilities include:

– Schedule Management
– Constructability Reviews
– Management of Trade Workers
– Procurement Coordination
– Pre-Task Planning
– Quality Assurance
– Daily Reporting
– Risk Management
– Site Safety Plan Development & Implementation
– Site Inspections and Material Verification
– Site Logistics
– As-Built Documentation

Candidate shall possess strong construction knowledge and plan reading abilities.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good written/oral communication skills, and has a strong work ethic.   Our Superintendents are our front line with our clients, for lack of a better term, the first impression of our company in many cases.  The position requires skill, knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with a multitude of project stakeholders.
